Republican Senator Marco Rubio exposed Delta Air Lines as full of “lively corporate hypocrites” after CEO Ed Bastian condemned Georgia’s latest electoral law while still doing business with communist China despite his genocide of Uighur Muslims.
“Dear @Delta: You are business partner of the Communist Party of #China. When can we expect your letter stating that their genocide is ongoing in #Xinjiang is ‘unacceptable and does not match Deltas values’ ??? #WokeCorporateHypocrites, ”Rubio said on Twitter.
You are a business partner of the Communist Party of China
When can we expect your letter to say that the ongoing genocide in #Xinjiang is “unacceptable and inconsistent with Delta’s values”? #WokeCorporateHypocrites

The senator also posted a video reiterating his testimony that Delta regularly does business with “the same Chinese Communist Party that commits genocide of Uighur Muslims inside China,” but has not yet sent a letter stating that the Uyghur genocide is unacceptable is and “does not reflect the values of Delta Airlines. “
“Of course they will not send this letter, nor Coca-Cola, nor any of those other companies that are showing the world how woken up they are because they are aroused corporate hypocrites,” said Rubio. “You make billions of dollars in a country that doesn’t even have elections. They make billions of dollars working with a country that doesn’t respect anyone or anything, and they don’t say a word about it. But in America they are ready to boycott a state and publicly condemn them to show and prove how awake they are. “
Rubio’s rant follows Bastian’s release of a memo to Delta officials condemning Georgian law as “unacceptable” and “based on a lie” that “inconsistent with Delta’s values”. Bastian’s allegations sparked a response from Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp, who said the statement was in stark contrast to what had been said in previous discussions.
“Today’s statement by Delta CEO Ed Bastian is in stark contrast to our discussions with the company, ignores the content of the new law and unfortunately continues to spread the same false attacks repeated by partisan activists,” said Kemp.
